Want to get involved in prediction markets, but want to do so for free? Well, that’s exactly what ROLR prediction markets do. Honestly? It’s the first no-purchase-necessary prediction market I’ve come across, so I can’t wait to dig in.
It’s an intriguing set-up, and I can’t wait to share with you everything about how ROLR works. I’ll walk you through how this unique no-deposit required format works, so you can hit the ground running in no time. Don’t worry, I had a bunch of questions, just as you probably do, so I’ll give you the full lowdown.
When I first landed on the ROLR site, I was surprised to find a no-purchase-necessary model. It’s the first of its kind that I have come across, which instantly drew me in. I had a whole bunch of questions, but when it came down to it, ROLR has a simple format. As of right now, traders will use ROLR Credits instead of real money to buy event contracts. I say ‘right now’ because this set-up is due to last for the first 8 weeks. After this, it’s expected that ROLR will launch a real-money prediction side to the site, which will operate like standard markets - like what you could have seen in my Moomoo review.
So, think of ROLR Credits as a virtual currency that is used to trade event contracts on your favorite markets. You can trade on a whole stack of events, including categories like sports, crypto, and culture. If you make the right prediction, you will receive ROLR Credits and prediction points to climb up the leaderboard.
As you have seen, you will trade event contracts with ROLR Credits. As ROLR is a no-deposit-required site, you don’t buy these credits. Instead, you will receive them for free upon registration. By opening a new account, you will get $1,000 in ROLR Credits immediately upon logging in for the first time. It’s a great ROLR bonus that gets you up and running straightaway.
Just keep in mind that, as it’s expected for ROLR to adjust its format to a standard real-money market shortly, this bonus may change. Having said that, there’s nothing to say that ROLR won’t decide to still give new users free site credits, as it’s a stellar bonus. Either way, I’ll keep checking back and will update you right here as soon as anything changes.
Right, let’s get the bad news out of the way first. I didn’t find any ongoing promotions for users; however, this may change when ROLR launches its real-money market. What I did find is a challenge that gives you the chance to win up to $25 million. To celebrate the arrival of ROLR on the prediction market scene, there’s a free-to-play trading challenge that’s set to run for 8 weeks. During these 8 weeks, users will work up the leaderboard and have the chance to win daily, weekly, and monthly rewards.
There are 6 prize tiers available, ending with the Finals Week, where users will compete for the Grand Prize of $25,000,000. This challenge is simple - make your predictions, pick up prediction points, and climb up the leaderboard. As you work through the tiers, you will unlock bigger and better rewards.
| Prize Tier | Reward | How to win |
|---|---|---|
| Grand Prize | $25,000,000 | Qualify for Finals Week by answering all 7 questions correctly |
| Season Champion | $75,000 | Become the overall #1 on the leaderboard |
| Master Referrer | Up to $5,000 | Most weekly referrals get $1,000, or most in a month get $5,000 |
| Monthly Champion | $5,000 | The top of the leaderboard at the end of the month |
| Weekly Top Predictor | $1,000 | Get the highest score at the end of the week |
| Daily Leader | 500 Credits | Reach the top of the leaderboard at the end of the day |
ROLR gets top marks as far as website performance and usability. From a beginner's perspective, the website couldn’t get any better. Right off the bat, I was met with one of the biggest FAQ pages that I have ever seen. Honestly, it covers practically everything I was wondering about how the site works and shows all other prediction market sites how it’s done. Given that ROLR is built on a unique format, this is very much appreciated.
From a user perspective, I also tip my hat off to the designer, as my ROLR review got off to a fantastic start. The website feels super modern and loads smoothly with no lag. When it comes to moving around the site and markets, the main menu lays out the full list of categories. To make the experience even smoother, the selection of filters is immense. Seriously, I could filter my search based on the newest markets, markets that are ending soon, those with the highest volume, and even the most trending markets. Not sure what you want to trade on? I recommend checking out the trending tab for some inspiration.
I didn’t find an app, but I really didn’t miss it. While apps are pretty nice to have, it’s not something I consider a dealbreaker here - not when the website works flawlessly on all devices. The website has been designed using HTML5 technology, which means it adapts to all screen sizes, so you can trade on markets while on the move with ease.
As of right now, there’s no use for payment methods at ROLR. Quite simply, ROLR prediction markets are 100% free to trade using ROLR Credits. However, this free-to-play format is set to end after the initial launch period. After these 8 weeks, ROLR is expected to launch real-money event contracts, which will, of course, require payment methods.
So, at the moment, there aren’t any available payment methods, as they aren’t required. But if my DraftKings Predict review is anything to go by, you can expect a wide range of payment methods, including Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, PayPal, and more. As soon as real-money trades open for business, I’ll be right back to give you an update. For now, enjoy your ROLR Credits for free trades.
Right, so far, my review has been pretty glowing, just like my Coinbase review. But when it comes to customer support, this is where ROLR has let itself down, as far as I’m concerned. If ROLR could improve on one thing, it’s customer support. First of all, I couldn’t even find a support page - there’s no mention of ‘contact us’ anywhere, which is rather disappointing. Ideally, this should be linked in the main menu and accessible from every page.
Eventually, I came across a support email - hurrah! I popped the team an email and, to my surprise, I had a response pretty fast. Having said that, the introduction of a live chat certainly wouldn’t go amiss. The only saving grace is the abundance of FAQs that answered practically every question I had, but this won’t be the case for everyone or every query.
ROLR ticks off everything as far as my safety and security concerns are. ROLR is a reputable brand that prioritizes customer safety, as any trusted site should. For instance, you are protected by SSL encryption software that scrambles your sensitive data as it’s being entered - just like what I found during my Sleeper Markets review. Whenever you enter your personal information or banking details, it’s kept under lock and key to prevent any leaks, and it's the minimum security I would expect. Nevertheless, it’s great to see it here, and it’s something I actively look for.
As of right now, ROLR is still in its no-purchase-necessary format. Having said that, when it launches its real-money markets, then ROLR will offer these in a partnership with the CDNA (Crypto.com Derivatives North America). As you can see, customers are going to be protected under strict guidelines, as it’s approved by the CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission).

For now, ROLR is a free prediction market site that grants all new users some free ROLR Credit through the sign-up bonus. It’s the first no-purchase-required prediction market site that I’ve encountered, so it was a whole new concept to me. After checking the site out, I have to say, it’s a cracker. Honestly, if you are looking to get involved with prediction markets, this is your opportunity to test the waters for free - before ROLR rolls out the real-money side.
To ease you in, there’s a challenge where you could win a $25,000,000 Grand Prize. This challenge is giving away thousands of dollars every single day, week, and month, until the end of the challenge. So, what are you waiting for? If ROLR has caught your eye as it did mine, tap the promotional banners to get your account up and running.
ROLR is a new prediction market site, but with a twist - it’s operating a no-deposit-required system. Instead of buying event contracts with real cash, you will use ROLR Credits. However, ROLR is expected to launch its real-money trading shortly, so I’ll be back to update you when this gets rolled out.
You must be 18+ years old to create an account at ROLR, depending on the rules of where you live. If your area requires you to be 19+ or 21+ years old, then this rule supersedes ROLR’s T&Cs.
No doubt there will be trading fees when ROLR launches its real-money event contracts. In the meantime, there are no fees as it’s an entirely free-to-play system.
