Rashard Lewis played 16 seasons in the NBA. He went from the last player in the green room of the 1998 NBA Draft to a rising Sonic to an overpaid Magic All-Star to a bargain-deal Heat champion. And in 2014, he was going to become Dirk's backup in Dallas but his one-year deal was voided by the Mavs when they discovered he needed surgery on his right knee.
I'm not sure if we will be seeing him back on the court again, but in the meantime, let's celebrate the birthday of the Alief Elsik legend by looking back at his basketball journey via this documentary that was put together by the Miami Heat in 2013.
(UPDATE 2017: Rashard Lewis joined Ice Cube's BIG3 league and quickly established himself as the best player in the league's inaugural season)
