Last night we posted a new video of high school legend and former Cavs lottery pick Dajuan Wagner and this morning we came across this video of his Cleveland teammate Ricky “Get Buckets” Davis playing in the D-League. The high flying scoring machine who played for the Hornets, Heat (twice), Cavs, Celtics, Timberwolves, Clippers, teams in China, Turkey, France and Puerto Rico now calls the Erie BayHawks his employer.
The video above is from Ricky’s 2nd game with the BayHawks (the team that drafted Ricky in the 6th round earlier this month in the D-League Draft) against the Maine Red Claws (his last D-League team). In a losing effort, “Get Buckets” did score 22 while grabbing 9 rebounds (no he didn’t shoot on his own basket to try to get a double double) and six assists. Those numbers aren’t eye-popping but they are legit and as video editor that has spent hours editing footage of Davis’ dunks, I’m always going to be happy when I get to talk about Uncle Ricky D.

Ricky Davis w/ Dajuan Wagner, LeBron, Boozer and Darius Miles – the potential of this team was as scary as any in history.
