Russell Westbrook Gets Choked, Ejected After Scuffles With JJ Barea

I hope you didn't use $10k in your daily fantasy line-up on Russell Westbrook last night.  Westbrook had 0 points in 15 minutes after being ejected for a pair of techs in the 2nd quarter.

The first tech came during a scuffle with chippy J.J Barea.

"Just a regular play, a post-up, got physical," said Barea, who scored a team-high 18 points. "Nothing extra, though. Just a regular foul, then he threw his arms and went a little crazy after that. I was there. I wasn't backing down. He started pushing, I started grabbing. He grabbed me and flailed his arms."

Barea's teammate Charlie Villanueva also got into the grabbing action and was ejected for putting his hands on Westbrook's throat.

"I will always stand up for a teammate," Villanueva said. "That's just my makeup. I should have controlled it a little bit more, of course, but my emotions got the best of me. It's over with now."

Later in the quarter, Westbrook picked up his second tech when he swung his arms and yelled "get the f*ck off me, man" to Barea after another foul.

"Same thing again. Same thing," Barea said of the second tech. "I fouled him, and then he went crazy again and threw his arms all over the place. The ref was right in front of him, so he saw it that time."

Westbrook was less talkative after his 2nd career scoreless game and answered every question with a variation of "we played a good game."
