S. Curry was on fire last night as he scored 44 points, hitting 10 of 15 shots including 9 3-pointers in a playoff win for the Warriors. Confused? You are probably thinking Steph Curry only scored 24 points in a loss to the Nuggets (93 by Mozgov?) which prevented the Warriors from clinching a playoff birth.
That’s because the hot shooting Curry I’m talking about is Seth Curry who lit up the #2 LA D-Fenders in a 140-127 playoff victory. The 9 3-pointers set a franchise record for the Santa Cruz Warriors and the 44 is the 3rd best in D-League playoff history.
“I expected Seth to have a good game,” Hill said. “I didn’t expect that, necessarily.”
“He’s gone through a nice little process here as he enters into the professional basketball world,” he added. “And tonight was just a little bit of a cherry on top.”
The Warriors lead the best of 3 series 1-0.
