Skylar Diggins Scores 31 against WNBA’s #1 pick, Injures Knee in win

Skylar Diggins bounced back from a 9 point performance and scored a season-high 31 points on Sunday against her former college teammate and WNBA #1 draft pick Jewell Loyd. The win gave the Tulsa Shock their 8th win in a row but unfortunately they lost Diggins in the final minute to a knee sprain which will cause her to miss tonight’s game in Seattle. According to a team press release, she will also miss the Shock’s current 4-game road trip.

After 9 games, Diggins is 4th in the league in scoring at 17.8 points per game.

As for the other Notre Dame product, Jewell Loyd, who has struggled so far, scored a career-high 21 points on 7 of 12 shooting in Sunday’s loss.
