“That was quite a show. Not at all surprising the way Steph bounces back from bad nights,” Coach Steve Kerr said.
Three days after putting up a donut on 10 3-point attempts and breaking his streak of 157 games with at least one 3, Steph Curry broke his own NBA record – shared with Kobe Bryant and Donyell Marshall – for 3s in a game with 13!
“I was hard on myself in practice the last two days. I had pretty good shooting sessions,” Said Curry, who finished with a game-high 46 points on 16 of 26 shooting against the Pelicans. “I don’t overreact to games like that whether I go 0 for 10 or 2 for 12 or whatever it is. My process is the same, but I had another level of focus the last two days trying to get my rhythm back and see the ball go in.”
Curry was actually feeling it before the game even started, knocking down his routine tunnel shot on his first attempt. When asked about it after his record breaking performance, Curry said, “that’s kind of a separate event…there’s no correlation at all.”
In honor of Curry’s big night, let’s look back at the previous records for 3s in a night, including Curry’s epic 46 point performance against Russell Westbrook and the Thunder.
