It was “Drake Night” in Toronto last night and the Raptors’ Global Ambassador/famous Canadian Rapper introduced the Toronto Raptor players before their game with the exhausted Brooklyn Nets who were coming off a double OT victory over the Miami Heat.
Drake did a pretty good job with the intros but I would have loved to heard him do some game commentary especially when Shaun Livingston had his ankles broken by Kyle Lowry.
The Raptors also broke the Nets 5 game winning streak behind DeMar DeRozan’s 26 points and a double double from Patrick Patterson.
Cool intros, cool shirts (that are selling for as much as $200 on Ebay the day after) and a 16 point victory. I would say Drake Night was a success.
Drake also stopped by RGD earlier to talk about Drake Night and the organization.
