The Cavs’ Tristan Thompson didn’t get much of a rest after winning the NBA championship. He’s already back on the court, representing Canada, with former Cavs #1 pick Anthony Bennett, in the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament. Despite throwing down a couple of highlight worthy dunks, neither Thompson (3 of 11 shooting) or Bennett (surprise, surprise – 1 of 2) played well.
Thankfully for the Wiggin-less Canada team, Turkey couldn’t buy a bucket in the 2nd half and Cory Joseph scored 19 of his 21 between the 2nd and 3rd quarter as Canada went on to win 77-69.
Hopefully Thompson will shoot better in his next game and have Dwyane Wade throwing him these type of lobs next season.
