When the GoPro cameras came out, it quickly became a favorite among extreme sports like surfing and skateboarding but over the past year, we have been seeing more and more basketball footage being shot with that wide angle lens on the mini GoPro cameras.

It’s become a favorite among the Venice Beach League for capturing slow motion dunks and point-of-view in the middle of the action shots.   The video above is an example of that POV action featuring VBL player of the week Deshawn Stephens aka Evolution who finished the week with a 28 point 16 rebound and 5 block game.

Slow motion is a lot like bacon, it just makes everything better.  Just ask John Woo!  Now take a look at these regular guys in the following video. They aren’t doing anything special but they look damn cool doing it.
