VCU (18-5, 8-2) was led by Melvin Johnson as he went for 22 points off of 9-17 field goals. The Richmond Spiders (14-9, 8-3) were led by TJ Cline with 22 points while going 9-12 from the field. Justin Tillman and Jordan Burgess were able to add a spark off the bench contributing 15 and 14 point outings in the win. Another note on the night was that Melvin Johnson tied B.A. Walker for the VCU Career All-Time Record of 3 pointers Made with 269. Look for that record to be broken Wednesday night as the Rams take on George Mason University.
