In Oklahoma City, August 4th 2016 will now be known as Russell Westbrook Day. Mayor Mick Cornett declared the day “Westbrook Day” after the Thunder star shocked many by signing a 3-year $85 million contract extension with the Durant-less Thunder.

As expected, the press conference with the always quotable Westbrook contained quite a few headline sound bytes. The best one was probably him saying “Sting for who?” when asked if Durant leaving for Golden State made it “sting more.”
