Tre Jones and Apple Valley went on the road to face Shakopee. A huge crowd turned-out to support the home team as they faced the future Duke Blue Deveils point guard (and brother of Minnesota Timberwolves Tyus Jones).
After scoring 4 points in the first half, with Apple Valley clinging to a 39-36 lead, Tre Jones started playing like himself in the second half.
Jones finished with 30 points (10-14 FG, 9-10 FT), 5 rebounds, 4 assists in the 89-81 win. Ely Hendrickson had 21 points (7-10 3-pointers) and Nathan Macho added 13 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds for Apple Valley.
Sophomores #44 Charles Katona (31 points, 6 rebounds) and #5 Caleb Druvenga (24 points) led Shakopee.
In the end, Tre Jones tallied a game-high 22 points, seven rebounds, five assists, while teammate 2018 Ely Hendrickson hit seven 3-pointers for 21 points.
For the season, Tre Jones is averaging 25.8 points, 10.4 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 3.7 steals per game.
