Ayo Dosunmu + Adam Miller: Midwest’s Best Backcourt?! Morgan Park Open Gym Highlights!

Players in this post:
Adam Miller Ayo Dosunmu

Ayo Dosunmu is Chicago’s top-rated high school basketball player. The 5-star 6’4 combo guard is widely considered one of the top 20-25 players in the Class of 2018 nationwide. Coming off a 3A Illinois state title, there are always high expectations at Morgan Park HS. The top rated sophomore in Illinois, 6’3 guard Adam Miller recently transferred from Peoria, IL into Chicago’s Morgan Park, a public school. Adam Miller is ranked as high as 14th overall in the Class 2020 by 247 Sports and as low as 36th overall by Rivals.com.
With 2 of the top guards in the midwest in the same backcourt, we caught a recent Morgan Park open gym. It happened to be over 90 degrees that day as Chicago’s been experiencing record-breaking temperatures this fall. With no air conditioning in their tiny, old gym, it was probably 90+ as the Mustangs got up and down for 90 mins.
There’s no question that Morgan Park gets up and down (on their tiny court) as quickly as any team in Illinois. Under head coach Nick Irvin, the Mustangs have been
one of the top if not the top scoring team in the Chicago area over the past few seasons.
Some days at open gym there are more coaches than others. On this day, Michigan and UAB were among those in the gym. 2018 big man Tamell Pearson is a recent UAB commit and is poised to have his most productive high school season.
As for his recruiting, Ayo Dosunmu holds over 20 offers. His latest list stands at 7 schools: Wake Forest, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma State, USC, Illinois, and Xavier.
Just a sophomore, Adam Miller’s early offers include Kansas, Memphis, Wake Forest, Illinois, Bradley, and Oklahoma State.

Check out these raw highlights from Chicago Morgan Park’s open gym featuring 5-star 2018 combo guard Ayo Dosunmu and 4-star 2020 guard Adam Miller, a new face on the Chicago basketball scene.
