Dallas Mavs rookie Salah Mejri scored 1 bucket during the Mavs blowout loss to the Spurs on Friday. The bucket came on a dunk in the 2nd quarter, when the Mavs were ONLY losing by 23. The rookie was so impressed by his only bucket in 14 minute of play that he actually had the nerve to talk trash to Coach Popovich.
Pop just laughed at the rookie and then shared a laugh with Duncan about the 7’2 center.
After the game, Pop had a classic response when asked what Mejri said to him.
“Who,” Popovich replied. “I have no idea. It was pretty funny though.”
