He finishes his high school career with over 100 varsity wins and is one of Illinois top 20 scorers of all-time (2,682 pts).
2015 Illinois Mr. Basketball, 2 x Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year, Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Tribune Player of the Year, McDonald’s All-American, Jordan Brand All-American, the 6'2 point guard averaged 23 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists. While these are nice totals, Brunson wasn't concerned with stats. He was concerned with winning, improving his game and maximizing and utilizing his teammates' talents. Brunson often acted like a second coach on the floor, guiding his teammates to a 30-3 overall record, playing a national schedule for the first time in school history.
