With 119 of the 125 1st place votes, Kevin Durant received the MVP trophy today and his mother received an early Mother’s day gift as KD explained why his Mom is “the real MVP” during one of the most touching speeches I’ve ever heard from an athlete.
It was so touching that it even put a smile on Kendrick Perkin’s face.
“I hated you before you got here.” – KD to Perkins
If you don’t shed a tear — like his mother, many of his teammates and audience members — then I’m assuming you are not human, you wanted LeBron to win a third year in a row or you are from the future and hate KD because he’s going to leave OKC and win a championship somewhere else.
