Jimmy Butler was cooking during the 1-on-1 drills at the Team USA practice. The drill allows you to take a maximum of 2-dribbles before taking a shot and in many cases, 2 was 2 too many for Butler against a few other NBA All-Stars on the roster. The player with the most luck against Butler was Harrison Barnes. The new Maverick caused the visibly much bigger and stronger looking Butler to miss the most shots during the session.
Butler also shined in the drills on the defensive end, getting blocks on Jabari Parker (14:41) and D’Angelo Russel.
