During the final minutes of Team USA’s 119-62 beatdown on China, Paul George “got crossed” and fell to the ground while trying to play defense(?)…in the backcourt(?)…while being up by 52!

After the game, George wanted the internet to know that he didn’t get crossed and released this statement via Bleacher Report: Don’t believe in the hype Bleacher. I didn’t get crossed. My shoes. Check out the shoes. I had too much grip.

As expected, the internet bought that excuse just as much as they bought Draymond Green’s “I was hacked” excuse after his Snapchat mistake.

Here’s what a few people on Twitter and Facebook had to say about George and his shoes with “too much grip.”
