WARNING: This video is very graphic and tough to watch.
Pacers’ All-Star Paul George suffered one of the worst looking leg injuries I’ve ever seen during Friday’s USA Basketball Showcase at the Thomas & Mack Center in Vegas. With a little more than nine minutes left in the game, he suffered a right leg, open tibia-fibula fracture. Out of respect for Paul George and his family, Coach K canceled the rest of the game after the accident occured.
According to a statement by USA Basketball, George was transferred to Sunrise Hospital in Vegas where he underwent successful surgery to fix the fracture. He is expected to remain hospitalized for approximately three days.
Our prayers go out to him and his family and we are wishing him a speedy recovery.
