Chino Hills played an interesting game Tuesday in the opening round of the Rancho Mirage Holiday Invitational against Franklin (Portland, Ore.). It turned out to be a pretty low scoring game to Chino Hills’ standards because Franklin’s game plan was to limit Chino from scoring by running down the shot clock before it shot.
LaMelo Ball was feeling himself from Monday, as he tried to channel his inner And1 mixtape self with some wild attempts that got the crowd excited. He finished with 27 points (9-27 from 3-point range), with 11 assists and two turnovers. “The Big O” Onyeka Okongwu had 20 points, 13 rebounds and 2 blocks, Gelo Ball had 17 points and six steals while Eli Scott finished with 10 points and 13 rebounds.
With the win, Chino Hills has now won 48 games in a row. It doesn’t seem to matter their shooting percentages, because the Huskies get way more shots and have the Big O and Scott working the glass and defending the paint? Will they lose at all during the regular season?
