Team USA Bounces Back in 3rd Day of Practices at Nike Hoop Summit

After an extremely underwhelming performance in their scrimmage on Thursday night, Team USA returned to action Friday looking like an entirely new team. The group of 11 showed us why they were the ones selected to represent the USA in tonight's anticipated match-up against the World Select team.  They came out with a lot of energy, sharpness and played hard on both ends of the floor. It was apparent that this time around the team had a good understanding of what all their roles were and for the most part did a great job at fulfilling them.

Tyus Jones did a great job of setting the tempo and running the show while leading the team in points (12) and assists (5). Cliff Alexander went a perfect 5-5 from the field scoring 12 points to go with 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block. Theo Pinson & James Blackmond had 11 a piece while Justise Winslow finished with 10 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. Stanley Johnson only recorded 5 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal but his contribution was much more than what showed up on the stat sheet. His defense and intensity were major contributions to team USA's impressive showing as you will see in the video.
