"It's been awhile since I got in that rhythm three years ago," said Jordan, who just scored 41 points in 33 minutes at the MCI center. "But the team has got to elevate with me. Execution is very important when I step out of the game."

Back on October 21st of 2001, over 20,000 people gathered together at the MCI Center to watch the 38-year old legend make his home debut as a Wizard and none of them went home disappointed...except for Jordan. Not only did fans get to see Jordan in a Wizards uniform, they got to see Jordan in a Wizards uniform playing like he did with a Bulls uniform on. During the 3rd quarter, Jordan hit six straight shots and scored a total of 15 points in just five minutes to help his team erase a 19-point deficit. MJ's run also included a surprising baseline dunk and more surprising back-to-back 3-pointers.

Despite the 2nd half heroics, the Nets came away with a 102-95 victory, Jordan left disappointed and Coach Doug Collins had flashbacks of the first time he coached Jordan decades earlier.

"Obviously, Michael was magnificent." Said coach Collins. "But this sort of reminds me of when I was with him early in his career in Chicago. We outscored them 82-57 with him on the court and they beat us 45-13 without him. We've got to make it easier for him."
