The ITP Crew give their reaction to the recent contract announcement of MLB's Shoehei Ohtani's to the Los Angeles Dodgers for $700 million over the next 10 seasons. Is there anything comparable in other sports? Why don't vast amounts of American kids embrace baseball more?
The ITP Crew also dish on the NCAA bowl game system and the reality that many potential top NFL Draft picks will sit the bowl games out. Why is that? Have bowl games lost all their luster? Will they be around when the new 12-team NCAA playoff kicks off and when the power conferences eventually form their own alliance?
The Detroit Pistons have lost 20 straight games and 44 of 48 since the 2023 NBA trade deadline. The organization brought in well-paid and highly-regarded coach Monty Williams.
