Thunder 111, Pacers 104: FULL Game 4 Log

Keep track of the host Indiana Pacers’ attempt to go up 3-1 on the favored Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 4 of the 2025 NBA Finals.

The OKC Thunder (68-14), the top seed in the Western Conference, are now trailing 2-1 the No. 4 Eastern Conference seed Indiana Pacers (50-32) and have to avoid another road loss at Indiana in order to avoid falling behind 3-1 in the series.


FINAL: Thunder 111, Pacers 104

With the win, the Thunder not only tie the series but become the first team to win an NBA Finals game while hitting three or fewer three-pointers since the 2010 Boston Celtics. Oklahoma City earned the win with an improved defensive effort and by having their MVP stick to his game, one fully capable of strong shot selections while getting to the foul line for plentiful singles. Equally vital in the victory was the effort of Alex Caruso, who countered further bench brilliance from the Pacers with a masterpiece in relief of his own.


4th Quarter: Thunder 111, Pacers 104

0.0—Haliburton’s desperate heave clanks off the backboard and is rebounded by Holmgren, ending the game and officially knotting the series

7.1—Unable to get another steal, the Pacers finally foul Gilgeous-Alexander, who hits two more at the line to go 10-of-10, including 8-of-8 in the final period. (111-104 OKC)

19.8—The Pacers tip and steal the inbounds pass, with Haliburton getting it to Mathurin, who is fouled by Jalen Williams. Mathurin hits one of two. Mathurin is called for another away from the play foul on the inbound. Gilgeous-Alexander hits the free throw (109-104 OKC)

23.8—Turner misses a three, but Holmgren is called for a loose ball foul against Mathurin, who hits neither. Holmgren gets the rebound, and the Thunder calls time. On the inbound, Mathurin is charged with an away from the play foul. Gilgeous-Alexander hits the freebie and the Thunder retain possession. (108-103 OKC)

44.0—After an exchange of misses, Gilgeous-Alexander draws a shooting from Nesmith with three tenths of a second left on the shot clock. The MVP hits both at the line. Nesmith has fouled out (107-103 OKC)

1:43—Haliburton airballs a three and Siakam fails to get the rebound before it goes out of bounds.

2:02—Dort steals one from Turner, who interrupts his fastbreak with a foul. Dort hits one of two at the line. (105-103 OKC)

2:23—Gilgeous-Alexander strikes again, fading back, leading to a Pacers timeout and the Thunder’s first lead of the second half (104-103 OKC)

2:58—Gilgeous-Alexander’s three—Oklahoma City’s third of the game—narrows the gap to one (103-102 IND)

3:20—Haliburton beats Gilgeous-Alexander for another driving double (103-99 IND)

3:34—Nesmith’s three puts Gilgeous-Alexander at the line. He hits both. (101-99 IND)

3:52—Gilgeous-Alexander blocks a Haliburton three but Nesmith is fouled by Dort on the follow-up. Timeout Oklahoma City after Nesmith hits the first. Nesmith hits the second after the break (101-97 IND)

2.2—Jalen Williams makes up for a foul on the other hand, one where Siakam hit one of two at the foul line, with a late double that narrows the gap to seven going into the final period. (87-80 IND)

32.1—Jalen Williams stops the bleeding with free throws after a Toppin foul. He’s 11-of-11 from the line. (86-78 IND)

2:08—Following Mathurin free throws and getting a block on the other end, Toppin puts home another slam off the feed from Siakam to create Indiana’s first double-figure lead of the series (86-76 IND)

3:21—Caruso immediately responds on the other end with a three (82-76 IND)

3:36—A Haliburton double gives Indiana its largest lead of the game (82-73 IND)

3:58—Following the timeout, Caruso hits one of two at the line after Siakam fouls him while in the penalty (80-73 IND)

Halftime: Pacers 60, Thunder 57

Indiana has responded to the challenge of facing the Thunder’s two-big lineup again fairly well and has defended the high-octane offense brilliantly, considering that Oklahoma City has hit but one of 10 tries from three-point range. Conversely, the Thunder have use physicality to their favor: in a game featuring a combined 20 fouls, Oklahoma City has sunk all but of their 17 tries from the charity stripe. It might take a while, but the stage is set for an evenly matched second half that could change the course of this series.


2nd Quarter: Pacers 60, Thunder 57

0.0—Nesmith fails to put back a Nembhard missed three but the Pacers still carry a slim halftime lead.

28.3—After Wallace hits his first shot in five attempts, Haliburton is fouled by Caruso and earns a successful and-one off another helper from Siakam. It’s Haliburton’s first single of the Finals (60-57 IND)

1:07—Off a feed from Siakam, Haliburton hits an acrobatic shot in the paint after a Jalen Williams turnover (57-55 IND)

1:37—Granted the extra possession, Siakam ties the game (55-55)

1:44—After a Jaylen Williams response, Obi Toppin gets hit in the head by Dort on a drive. The player is under review for a potential flagrant. It’s called a flagrant upon review. Toppin hits one and Indiana retains possession (55-53 OKC)

2:37—Following Caruso’s miss, Toppin puts back a Nesmith misfire (53-52 OKC)

3:19—An exchange of doubles between Gilgeous-Alexander and Siakam leads to a Thunder timeout (53-50 OKC)

4:02—Nesmith breaks the Indiana drought with a corner three before drawing an offensive foul on Holmgren, his first (51-48 OKC)

5:17—Turner’s rejection of Caruso appears to go after the former, but the Pacers don’t challenge. Jalen Williams sinks two at the line shortly after to create a six-point lead off Nesmith’s second foul (51-45 OKC)

5:41—Oklahoma City finally misses a free throw, as Aaron Wiggins hits one of two after Turner’s second foul. (49-45 OKC)

5:46—Caruso to the line as Toppin fouls him to interrupt a fastbreak after a steal from Haliburton. Hartenstein confronts Toppin after the foul, bringing the teams together under the basket. The incident is under review. After review, Toppin is called for a flagrant foul while Hartenstein and Toppin are each charged a technical. Caruso sinks the technical freebies and Oklahoma City retains possession (48-45 OKC)

6:35—Timeout Pacers as Wallace and Kenrich Williams turn a Holmgren block of Nesmith into a go-ahead double (46-45 OKC)

7:27—McConnell gets by Gilgeous-Alexander in the paint to take the lead back (45-44 IND)

8:17—Gilgeous-Alexander hits a double then finds Caruso for the go-ahead tallies (44-43 OKC)

9:15—Off a Nesmith offensive board, Sheppard sinks a three at the top of the key (43-40 IND)

9:27—A Holmgren drive draws a foul from Turner, one that the Pacer crowd does not agree with. Indiana does not challenge and Holmgren hits two for a tie (40-40)

5:05—The Pacers are in the penalty after Ben Sheppard fouls Williams. Oklahoma City is 9-of-9 from the line after Williams hits two more (24-21 IND)

5:36—Williams scores on back-to-back possessions, the latter earned after Indiana’s first turnover of the night (24-19 IND)
