Jelly Fam Jahvon Quinerly aka Jelly JQ is vying for the number 1 point guard spot in the Class of 2018. Recently named UAA MVP for his play with Sports U, Quinerly teamed up with his Sports U teammate, elite big man Nazreon Reid, to play with NJ Playaz at The 8/Bigfoot Hoops Las Vegas Classic. In a five-star guard showdown, NJ Playaz faced Nike EYBL Houston Hoops 17U, led by LSU commit, Ja'Vonte Smart.
Naz Reid played huge down the stretch, tying the game at the end of regulation, forcing overtime. In the end, the NJ Playaz were victorious. The hoops fans in the gym caught a great game (and saw Jahvon "Jelly JQ" jelly in-game.
Once the game ended, the five-star players Quinerly, Reid and Smart were able to embrace and smile again.
