Overtime Elite: From Phoenix to Atlanta!
We took in the initial games in Phoenix at the facility and made the venture to Midtown Atlanta to observe the OTE Season Opener.
Here are the top performers from Overtime Elite’s Opening Weekend:
Adam Oumiddoch, 6’6, SG, OTE Cold Hearts (Georgia), 2026
The most complete scorer in OTE showed why he’s one of the most dominant in the country during Cold Hearts’ games over the weekend, averaging 29.5 points per game. The crafty senior is automatic from the corners, utilizes his size to finish at the rim, and punishes defenders with his deceptive speed on straight-line drives.
Oumiddoch has already taken officials to LSU, St. John’s, Villanova, and Oregon. The shooting guard is one of the highest sought-after scorers left on the board nationally.
Isaac Ellis, 6’1, PG, YNG Dreamerz (North Carolina), 2026
The most consistent player in Overtime Elite paced the defending champion YNG Dreamerz to a 4-0 record with two ridiculous performances: 37 points and 13 assists in one game, followed by 34 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists over the weekend. The lefty playmaker was unbelievable at drawing fouls, constantly maintained the tempo of the game by getting rock up the floor in a hurry, and always kept his presence as a scoring threat.
The future South Carolina Gamecocks lead guard continues to show that his outstanding IQ and ability to play the game at his own speed will allow him to contribute in the SEC from the beginning.
Peyton Miller, 6’2, PG, Rod Wave Elite (Georgia), 2026
In an era where more and more players are opting to bet on themselves by taking the mid-major route, Peyton Miller is one of those guys. Heading to George Mason, he immediately established himself as a scoring point guard with an automatic pull-up, unselfishly distributed the rock, and had a variety of finishes once he got to the rim.
The constant improvement that Peyton has shown over the past years should make him an immediate impact player for George Mason if he continues at this level.
More Overtime Elite Top Performers!
Dakari Spear, 6’4, SG, FAZE (Texas), 2026
Considered one of the more deadly shooters in OTE, Dakari Spear was elite at scoring with limited dribbles throughout Dynamic Prep’s undefeated weekend. The shooting guard was efficient from the 3-point line, automatic with his pull-up jumper off a few dribbles, and showed the ability to create for others when the defense was locked in on him. The Texas Tech recruit paced FAZE’s offense, averaging 19.5 points per game over the weekend.
Marcus Spears Jr., 6’8, PF, FAZE (Texas), 2027
ESPN’s No.1 player in the class of 2027 utilized his two-way talent in FAZE (Dynamic Prep)’s 2-0 weekend in Atlanta. The versatile forward wreaked havoc on the defensive end, both as a shot-blocking threat and as a creator of deflections and steals (averaged 2.5 steals per game). Offensively, the younger Spears asserted himself as a great cutter, offensive rebounder, and above-the-rim finisher—most evident in Sunday’s 27-point showing, which included seven dunks.
Kole Grandison, 6’5, SF, OTE City Reapers (Georgia), 2026
The most physically punishing player that we saw in Overtime Elite’s opening weekend was undoubtedly Kole Grandison, an unsigned wing out of Canada. Built like a linebacker, the senior went through opposing defenders to finish with creativity and was incredibly assertive en route to a 35-point scoring outburst against Moravian Prep.
Grandison recently visited Texas State and proved that he is one of the best unsigned seniors that OTE has to offer this past weekend.
