Held at Gibson Park in Miami's historic Overtown neighborhood, Dinos Trigonis brought the West Coast flare from all of the nationally known Pangos event to South Florida. Blending players from countless shoe companies under one roof in a two court facility, the event was ideal for players and scouts alike to evaluate the vast amount of talent that South Florida has to offer along with the talented group of West coast sleepers from Belmont Shore to combine for an elite independent tournament on a non-shoe sponsored weekend. Teams brought the South Florida grind, size, and athleticism for what made a heavily competitive weekend of high level games in Overtown, while also providing players exposure for potential selection to the prestigious Pangos All American Camp.
With players from the EYBL, UAA, and strong independent programs, the Pangos Fantastic 40 offered some five star prospects in the 2026 class, as well as some under the radar players who have serious upside in their own right.
Here are a few of the top players from the 17U division who caught our eye at the Pangos Fantastic 40 Miami:
Jaxon Richardson, 6'5, SG, Florida Rebels, 2026
While his older brother Jace Richardson is preparing to be a first round pick in this year's NBA Draft as a combo guard, Jaxon Richardson's game more closely mirrors that of his father's (former NBA dunk contest winner Jason Richardson). A straight freak athlete, Richardson is an unbelievable shot blocker who is a lob threat both in transition and throughout half court sets. Having vastly improved as a 3-point shooter with his feet set, the younger Richardson recently saw himself rise into the top 10 of the 2026 ESPN 100 and doesn't appear to be looking back.
Collin Paul, 6'7, SF, SOH Elite, 2026
While high major schools have already taken notice of Collin Paul, he put everyone in attendance at the Pangos Fantastic 40 that he is a serious prospect with his play against the Florida Rebels. Able to play countless positions, Paul was super tough to stop once he started going downhill, finished through contact, and showed a reliable outside shot (4 3PT). The 29 points that he hung on the EYBL power was not only the most impressive performance of the Fantastic 40, but also left no doubt in anyone's mind that he is a four star prospect at minimum moving forward.
Dhani Miller, 6'2, PG/SG, Florida Rebels, 2026
A straight up dog on the hardwood, any basketball fan would love what Dhani Miller brought to the table on both ends of the floor. He comfortably guarded either backcourt spots, got to the rim at will with a great change of pace, and initiated contact on both ends of the floor. The son of longtime Montverde associate head coach and current Orlando Magic executive Rae Miller is still wide open in the process, but is certainly a glue guy that you'd love to have on your team.
CJ Yeargin, 6'3, PG/SG, SOH Elite, 2026
An incredibly intriguing combo guard, CJ Yeargin showed that he belonged at the Pangos Fantastic 40. He is an insanely creative finisher at the rack, is capable of playing either backcourt spot, and shoots it well enough to keep you honest. Add in the fact that he brings winning tendencies to the floor (played for Florida State champ Stranahan HS), and you see why he's one of the more intriguing sleepers in South Florida.

Kenyon Demuycnk, 6'9, PF/C, Belmont Shore, 2025
The most interesting unsigned senior that I saw at the Pangos Fantastic 40 was Kenyon Demuycnk, a Northern California product who made the way to Miami. The long armed big (7-foot-3 wingspan) offers massive upside and is just scratching the surface as a face-up shooter and above the rim finisher. Shortly after his play at the Fantastic 40, new Sacramento State coach Mike Bibby had Kenyon on campus for an official visit.
Sam Hallas, 6'8, PF, Florida Rebels, 2026
One of the more high activity bigs in the Fantastic 40, Sam Hellas looked to hurt the rim each and every time that he got the rock in the paint. The long armed big was a beast on the offensive glass, offered a formidable shot-blocking presence, and showed off range defensively when switching. Running with state champ Calvary Christian in OTE, Hallas is a name that you'll be hearing plenty from.
Kyler Theophile, 6'6, SF, Team Gold Coast
A name that I wasn't familiar with going into the event, Kyler Theophile is the type of player that I love seeing every year at the Pangos Fantastic 40. Able to play three different positions, the Coral Glades product is a nice shot creator, can finish over the top of you, and exhibited a super first step. While he's still far from a finished product, Theophile is definitely a name for the memory bank.
