Unrivaled, the domestic women’s league founded by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, is taking its show on the road for the first time.
After a week of announcing additions to its second season of play, Unrivaled added a whole city to its roster on Thursday.

The domestic three-on-three organization co-founded by WNBA superstars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart will officially play road games for the first time. The league announced that its doubleheader on January 30 will be staged at the Xfinity Mobile Arena (formerly known as the Wells Fargo Center) in Philadelphia, rather than its usual home in Miami.
“Philadelphia is the city of firsts, so it makes perfect sense that the Unrivaled League picked our historical city, with unmatched sports enthusiasts, as its first tour stop,” Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle L. Parker said in a statement from the league. “We’re excited to kick off our 2026 celebrations by first welcoming this league of women that continues to blaze trails of progress in sports, as well as investments off the court.”
The event will be known as “Philly is Unrivaled” and is part of the league’s ongoing partnerships with Xfinity and the “Philly Sisters,” a women’s sports advocacy and awareness group co-founded by comedienne and Unrivaled investor Wanda Sykes and her wife, Alex. The four teams that partake in the showcase will be revealed when the full season two schedule is uncovered in November.
Unrivaled Expands to Eight Teams for Second Season
Rosters for Unrivaled’s eight teams (two more than the six introduced in last winter’s debut) have yet to be revealed. But it stands to reason that at least one of the games will include Stewart’s New York Liberty teammate Natasha Cloud, a Philadelphia native and St. Joseph’s alumna who played for Phantom BC last time around. Villanova alumna Maddie Siegrist should also be an attraction, as her alma mater’s men’s program uses Xfinity Mobile gArena as a site for its bigger games.

Unrivaled’s descent will be the first from of professional women’s basketball in The Birthplace of America since 1998, when the Philadelphia Rage played in the American Basketball League. Notable alumnae from that squad include six-time WNBA All-Star/two-time champion Taj McWilliams and Philadelphia-born Hall-of-Famer Dawn Staley, now the head coach of the women’s program at the University of South Carolina.
The second season of Unrivaled will tip off on Jan. 5 in Miami. It will once again be broadcast on the networks of TNT Sports, including TNT, TruTV, and HBO Max.
