With all the hoopla surrounding a 50-year-old Michael Jordan dunking at his Flight School Camp, the NBA released some extended footage from the new Dr. J documentary, which shows the great Julius Erving dunking at 63 years young! The Doctor barely got it in, which I’m sure will be pointed out by some youngsters, but let’s see how well they can get up when they are in their 60s — yes, I’m still talking about basketball.
On a recent episode of NBA TV, the lovely Kristen Ledlow asked a 71-year-old Erving if he could still dunk. His hilarious response: “My last dunk was at 63. I’m dunking donuts now.”
