Glynn Watson has been one of the best point guards in Illinois for the past three seasons. Leading his St Joseph HS Chargers (Westchester, IL) to the 2015 Class 3A state title, the Nebraska-bound guard averaged 17 points, six assists, three steals. His court vision, speed and quickness are notable, but his ball-handling is superb.
At the state finals in Peoria, 5'11 Watson averaged 23.5 points in St. Joe's 2 final wins.
Always his team's spark plug, Watson led his team in scoring and assists while running the offense which included Jordan Ash (Northwestern) and junior Nick Rakocevic.
Perhaps Watson was under-appreciated by the local and national media, coming out of an Illinois 2015 class that also included Villanova-bound Jalen Brunson, Kentucky-bound Charles Matthews and Marcus LoVett Jr (undecided), but we at Ballislife loved watching Watson develop. Here's his Official Ballislife Mixtape!
