Here are all the top plays from 6-foot-8 Duke-bound forward Jabari Parker's senior season.
Considered one of the top 2 overall prospects in the class of 2013, Jabari Parker led his Chicago public school Simeon Career Academy (28-3 overall) to an unprecedented four Illinois Class 4A championships and is the first player to earn the Mr. Basketball of Illinois award twice. He also recently won the Morgan Wootten national player of the year award and Gatorade’s Illinois player of the year.
Coming off a serious foot injury which left him sidelined for 4 months, Parker averaged 18.4 points, 10.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists during his senior season and participated in the McDonald’s All-American Game, the Jordan Brand Classic and the Nike Hoop Summit. He was the co-MVP of the Classic, scoring 16 points on 8-of-13 shooting and posting seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block.
Next season, Jabari Parker will play for Coach Mike Krzyzewski at Duke alongside fellow 2013 McDonald's All-American Matt Jones, a shooting guard from Desoto (Texas).
Thanks to the Parker family and everyone at Simeon Career Academy.
