University of Wisconsin-Green Bay senior Keifer Sykes scored career high 36 points (6 Reb, 3 Ast, 4 Stl) in front of tons of friends and family in 72-67 win versus UIC in Chicago.
A graduate of Chicago Marshall High School, 6 ft guard Sykes passed 2,000 career point mark at the end of the first half.
He scored 12 of Green Bay's final 14 points to closeout the victory. Sykes finished 9 of 11 from the line to lead Green Bay (22-7, 11-4 Horizon).
Keifer Sykes is only the second Phoenix player to score at least 2,000 career points, the 10th player in Horizon League history to reach that mark and the first to score 2,000-plus points, grab 400-plus rebounds and dish off 400-plus assists. No other current NCAA player has achieved 2000,400,400.
Look for UW-GB to make a run in the Horizon League Tourney and beyond!
