Meechie Johnson and Jalen Blackmon proved to be the top 2 point guards at the Chicago stop of
the 2017 UA Next Combine Series. 40 of the top 8th graders (and 2 7th graders) from across the midwest participated in the 1-day Under Armour invitation-only event at Quest Multisport in Chicago.
After several hours of drill stations and information sessions, the players played 2 rounds of 5x5 games.
While we aren't ready to pick one PG as clear front-runner, the 2 point guards who showed the most were 5'11 Demetrius 'Meechie' Johnson (Garfield, OH) and 6'1 Jalen Blackmon (Ft Wayne, IN).
Some Indiana basketball fans might recognize the Blackmon name. Jalen's brother James Blackmon Jr just finished his junior season at Indiana.
