The Sky’s the limit for Angel Reese.

It’s been a headline-making day forReese, as the WNBA star continues to fill up the news columns. First, she was announced as the cover athlete for the WNBA edition of NBA 2K26. Then, Reebok gave sneakerheads and fans a first look at her upcoming signature shoe. To top it off, her kicks will debut on the 2K26 cover.  Recently named WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week, Reese has been making waves on and off the court.

The brand gave a glimpse of the Angel Reese 1, which is set to debut soon. Although no official release date was provided, the AR-1’s will launch in a Diamond Dust colorway in 2026.  It’s been a long-awaited announcement, as Reese signed a multi-year sneaker deal with Reebok in October 2024. Across the WNBA, just four players currently have signature shoe deals: Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart, Caitlin Clark, and now Angel Reese.

“Of course we do everything BIG, Reese posted on X. Why not debut my signature shoe on the cover of NBA2k?!?!”

Reebok’s Basketball Comeback

Reebok’s relevance has surged, with former NBA stars Shaquille O’Neal and Allen Iverson holding executive roles with the brand. Joining forces with DiJonai Carrington, Reebok notably provided Rebecca Lobo with her own signature shoe during the inaugural 1997 WNBA season. Along with Lobo, Reese becomes the second woman ever to have a signature show with the brand.

First partnering with Reebok in 2023, Angel Reese has since launched Reebok by Angel,” her first collection with the brand. The line includes both apparel and footwear, reflecting a ‘mix of power and personality.’ Reese has quickly become a fashion icon both on and off the court, exemplifying the intersection of fashion and sports.  From her LSU days to her rise as a WNBA star with the Chicago Sky, she has emerged as one of the most influential athletes of her time.

Selected as a WNBA All-Star for the second consecutive season, Reese is thriving in her second season with the Sky. Drafted by Chicago No. 7 overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft, the former LSU standout is averaging 13.2 points, 12.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.6 steals. Leading the league in rebounds, Reese has quickly expanded her game far beyond the glass. Although trademarking “mebounds” to silence the critics, point forward Reese has arrived.

“Diamond Dust,” Reese posted on X. “Just a kid from Baltimore, turning dreams into reality and hoping I can inspire young women and men everywhere to do the same. The most brilliant diamonds take pressure, polish, and time. Reebok is back—and the diamonds are shining brighter than ever.”

Angel Reese Makes History With Rebounding Streak

Recording six straight double-doubles, Reese has been on a tear following a rather slow start to the 2025 season. Over the last five games, No.5 is averaging 19.4 points, 16.6 rebounds, and 5.0 assists. Putting up MVP caliber numbers, Reese owns a WNBA record of six straight games with 15+ rebounds.

While fans were given an initial preview of what is to come, Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky (5-13) will next host Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings (6-14) this evening in the Windy City.  Voted as a WNBA All-Star reserve, Reese is expected to represent Team Collier on July 19.
