Emptying out the notebook from an absolutely loaded EIBC event, there were easily 60-75 D1 players who I evaluated throughout the weekend, with many still flying under the radar at prep schools scattered throughout the country. The event offered no shortage of size on the block, freakish athletes on the perimeter, and guards who could straight up get buckets from anywhere on the court. Many of these players saw their profiles rise immediately after the event after playing on such an outstanding platform.

Founded by BFL Prep head coach Barry Jones, the EIBC provides a platform that offers not just convenience, but elite competition for prep schools throughout the nation. Rather than traveling across the country to play just one or two games, the EIBC offers programs the opportunity to play four games in four days each month at one central location throughout the country. Additionally, it makes things far easier for players to get exposure from both college coaches and scouts since there are more than a dozen legit prep schools all under one roof. The first session was hosted by Colorado Prep just outside of Denver, and did not disappoint in terms of talent.

Here are some of the players who certainly raised their stock from session one:

Arafan Diane, 7’0, C, Dynastie Institute (CAN), 2026
A player who I hadn’t seen prior to the event, Arafan Diane showed that he is undoubtedly one of the best traditional centers that high school basketball has to offer. Owning a massive frame and long arms, Diane uses every bit of his 7-foot body to physically wear down defenders, has an incredibly soft touch finishing around the rim, and showed great IQ making decisions out of double teams. Arafan led Guinea to the 2023 FIBA Africa 16u championship with dominant averages of 17 points, 17 rebounds, four assists and three blocks per game and is certainly carrying over that type of production in the EIBC.

Jalik Dunkley, 6’7, SF, Canyon International Academy (AZ), 2024
Arguably the best athlete in the event, Jalik Dunkley changed the game on both ends of the floor with his jaw dropping bounce. The super agile athlete used his fluidity to defend all over the hardwood, was near impossible to stop going downhill, and showed glimpses as a spot up three point shooter. Dunkley is considered by some to be the best wing in Canada’s 2024 class and is a no brainer high major prospect.

Tristan Beckford, 6’5, SF, Hillcrest Prep (AZ), 2025
The most explosive athlete in the junior class that the EIBC brought to the table was definitely Tristan Beckford. The Canadian swingman is an elite cutter, utilizes his 40-plus inch vertical on both ends of the floor, and really knows how to pick his spots offensively. Putting up performances of 18 PTS/15 REB, 19 PTS/11 REB/3 STL/3 BLKS, and 20 PTS/8 REB/5 ASST/3 STL throughout the weekend against elite competition, it is easy to see why Beckford will soon be one of the hottest names in Arizona’s 2025 class.

JoJo Muyo, 5’10, PG, Edge School (CAN), 2024
The most outstanding player for session one of the EIBC, JoJo Muyo certainly showed that he could hold his own against many of the nation’s best. The super speedy point guard averaged 20.7 points and 6.4 assists for an Edge Prep team that went 4-0 throughout the weekend. Playing in both the EIBC and The Grind Session will offer no shortage of exposure for Muyo, who is still wide open in terms of recruitment.

Deshawn Gory, 6’6, SG, Red Rock Academy (NV), 2025
DeShawn Gory brought one of the more electric single game performances to the EIBC, dropping 28 points (6 3PT), six rebounds, and three assists in limited minutes in a big Red Rock Academy win. The lanky swingman is a very confident shooter, shows promise as a facilitator for others, and doesn’t appear to be done growing. Still floating a bit under the radar, the Cali native is assuredly a name that you will see associated with high major programs sooner rather than later.

Linus Holmstrom, 6’3, SG, Colorado Prep (CO), 2024
Another International prospect who I hadn’t heard of who really stood out was Swedish guard Linus Holmstrom of Colorado Prep. An electric shooter with his feet set, Holmstrom also showed that he has an explosive first step and is a really nice straight line driver if you close out on him too hard. Starting for Sweden’s 18U National Team, Holmstrom already has quite the reputation in Europe and is beginning to cultivate one here in the states at Colorado Prep.

Christian Jones, 5’11, PG, BFL Prep (WA), 2025
One of the faster lead guards that the EIBC brought to the table, Christian Jones was the catalyst for BFL Prep. While he may not be the biggest guy, Jones was essential creating shot opportunities for his BFL teammates with his innate ability to not only get into the paint, but also maintain a presence on the floor as a 3-point threat himself. The Houston native runs with JL3 on the EYBL circuit and already holds numerous D1 offers.

Adrien Isaac, 6’11, C, Hillcrest Prep (AZ), 2027
One of the youngest players to see considerable time in the EIBC, Adrien Isaac showed why there has been considerable buzz surrounding him on the West Coast. The lefty has outstanding touch facing the basket, is an intriguing passer, and showed he can finish above the rim against older competition. Isaac already owns an offer from Arizona State and is one of the better 2027 bigs on the West Coast.
