Russell Westbrook had 31 points, 8 assists, 7 boards and 5 steals in the Thunder's loss in GM5. After the game, a reporter brought up Curry's "we're not going home" steal and bucket and then actually asked Westbrook and Kevin Durant if they thought Curry was "underrated as a defender." Westbrook, in disbelief, put his hands over his face and laughed while KD attempted to answer the question with a straight face.
"I mean, getting steals, I don't know if that's just part of playing defense, but, you know he's pretty good, but he doesn't guard the best point guards."
KD then broke out the smile when he said, "I like our match-up with him guarding Russell."
The same reporter also asked Draymond Green about Kobe Bryant texting him after GM4 and if he replied to Kobe. Green laughed and said, "yeah, I text him back."
Back to KD, if you are thinking this was the funniest thing Durant has ever said in a Q&A about Curry, then watch this video about Durant's first encounter with the "white kid."
