Mater Dei won the 2012 Ocean View TOC championship led by Stanley Johnson, Elijah Brown and tournament MVP Jordan Strawberry. In their first game Mater Dei was up 91-12 at halftime and ended up winning the game by 111 points (137-26). In Their second game they won by 50. However they faced a tougher opponent in Compton High in the semifinals and won by 10, they led the entire game. In the championship game Mater Dei faced off against Jserra (#6 in Orange County) and won the game 87-66.
