Jason Kidd tells Taylor to hit him so he could spill his drink on purpose and delay the game

"Cup slipped out of my hand I was getting Ty," Kidd said. "Sweaty palms. I was never good with the ball. In the heat of the battle, you're trying to get guys in and out of the game, and the cup fell out of my hand."

And you thought Jason Kidd was a horrible coach.  Well, the great point guard that "never was good with the ball" didn't help his team come away with back-to-back wins last night but he was able to come up with one sneaky way of buying some time with 8.3 seconds left in the game and being down 2 with no timeout left.

While Ty Taylor was walking to the bench, Kidd told him "hit me" and when Taylor did, Kidd dropped his soda on the floor.  This tactic delayed the game and allowed Kidd to draw up a game winning play but unfortunately the final play by Pierce (who was 4-17 and didn't even score in the first half) wasn't as successful as the play to draw up the play.

Mavs fans probably wont be that surprised by Kidd's play because a few years ago he did something similar as a player when he intentionally ran into Coach Mike Woodson.
