Check out John Newman, a 6’6″ guard/forward headed to Clemson next season to suit up for Brad Brownell and the Tigers! Days leading up to the commitment, Clemson was seen as the heavy favorite to land Zion Williamson. Although they missed out on the in-state prospect, the Tigers have a 3 man class headed led by Newman (Jeminson, Tyson) next season to keep them in the ACC hunt and hopefully earn another trip to the Big Dance! Newman ran on the EYBL during the spring and summer with CP3 All Stars while leading Greensboro Day during the HS season. Newman finished his career with 3 state championships and cementing himself in NC basketball history.
