Russell Westbrook & Kevin Durant's Reaction To One Of The Worst Phantom Foul Calls Ever

Our sugar rush society has a tendency to go overboard with the "best" and "worst" ever titles given to current plays. But, this phantom foul call really is a candidate for one of the worst calls ever.

“I slipped." Admitted Russell Westbrook after the Thunder's 125-105 win over the Warriors. "That isn’t the reason why the game was over. It had nothing to do with anything. I just tripped, it was a missed call, it happens throughout the league. There's a lot of missed calls.”

Considering the Warriors were down by 22 in the third when the foul occurred, Westbrook is right about it not being important to the outcome of the game. His former teammate agreed:

"It had nothing to do with the outcome." Durant replied when asked about the foul. "She just probably missed it. Just like we missed a bunch of defensive assignments, and a bunch of layups, and free throws."

Westbrook finished the game with another ridiculous line of 34 points (13-26 FG), 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Kevin Durant finished with 33 points (8-14 FG), 6 rebounds and one foul...one very silly foul.

UPDATE: I was looking at the ESPN game play-by-play and it says Andre Inguodala was called for the foul. Iggy was just as far from Westbrook as KD so this still makes this foul call one of the worst ever.
