“It just feels good to say we’re the best team in the world with the best player in the world, this man sitting to my right,” said Klay Thompson pointing at his Splash Brother Steph Curry after winning the 2015 NBA Championship.
The half joking comment was a response to LeBron saying “I feel confident because I’m the best player in the world” after losing Game 5.
Although most fans would agree that LeBron is still a “better player,” you can’t blame a guy for saying his teammate who was the MVP of the league that destroyed the NBA playoffs record for 3-pointers is the best. Speaking of that record, Klay moved into 3rd place with 57 3-pointers and was just 3 shy of moving past Reggie Miller for 2nd place. So how many did he need to catch Steph? Only 41!
But from the looks of this pic of Klay after he fouled out with just 5 points, he could not care less.
